AUBURN
- The Auburn softball team climbed one spot to No. 16 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, it was announced Tuesday.

The Tigers and Oregon State flipped positions after Auburn swept three games from Kentucky and the Beavers went 1-2 on the week. Auburn is ranked one spot higher at 15th by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), whose weekly poll will be released on Wednesday.

The rankings do not take into account the Tigers doubleheader split with second-ranked Florida State on Monday.

Auburn is the fifth of six Southeastern Conference teams in the poll. The Tigers follow No. 4 LSU, No. 11 Tennessee, No. 12 Georgia and No. 13 Alabama while coming in ahead of No. 21 Florida.

Auburn returns to action on May 13 when it faces the Crimson Tide in the first round of the SEC Tournament at Tuscaloosa. The game between the fourth-seeded Tigers and fifth-seeded Crimson Tide is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Alabama Softball Complex.
