Auburn will attempt to secure the Southeastern Conference's automatic berth into the 2005 NCAA Soccer Tournament on Sunday when the Tigers face Tennessee in the SEC Soccer Tournament championship game at 3:30 p.m. CT at the Orange Beach Soccer Complex. The game will be aired live on FSN South. The sixth-seeded Tigers advanced into the championship game with an opening-round win over third-seeded Florida, 2-1, and then knocked off seventh-seeded Kentucky, 2-0, during Friday night's semifinals. The top-seeded Tennessee Lady Vols had just as tough of a road to get to the championship game, knocking off eighth-seeded LSU, 2-0, in the opener but tying fourth-seeded Vanderbilt, 0-0, in the semifinals and advancing on penalty kicks, 4-3. Sunday's game will mark Auburn's second appearance in the tournament championship game, and the first since the 2001 season. Auburn fell to Tennessee, 1-0, two weeks ago in regular-season action in Knoxville, Tenn.
