July 23, 2002

Soccer Tiger EyesAUBURN - The Auburn soccer team's 2002 recruiting class was ranked 15th in the nation by SoccerBuzz, the publication announced Tuesday. The ranking was the highest in school history and was also the highest ranking among SEC schools. Kentucky's class checked in at number 23 and was the only other SEC school ranked.

"We are extremely pleased with this year's incoming class," said Assistant Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Matthew Mott. "The ranking is the highest in Auburn soccer history and is a testament to the hard work of our coaching staff. We are looking forward to having these young ladies join our program and become Auburn Tigers."

The Tigers are coming off one of the most successful campaigns in school history, winning the SEC Western division and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.

Auburn opens the 2002 season August 30 at home against West Virginia.
