Jac Schwarz Three of Auburn's 2004 opponents received a final ranking in 2003 including Florida (No. 8), Kansas (No. 11) and Tennessee (No. 12). Regionally, five teams received a final ranking. This year, the Southeastern Conference moves to a full schedule slate, where every team will meet once during the regular season. The SEC season is set to begin on Friday, Sept. 24 for the Tigers as they host South Carolina at 7 p.m. at the AU Soccer Complex. On Sept. 5, Auburn will travel to William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., in a 2 p.m. match. The Tribe has a long history of success as they have been to 19 NCAA Tournaments and have a streak of 23 consecutive winning seasons, which is tied for the longest in the country. Auburn will participate in a tournament Sept. 10 and 12 at the University of Miami, where the Tigers will take on Miami Friday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. and Indiana Sunday, at 11:30 a.m. Both contests will be the first time the teams have met up. Auburn's home schedule is a tough one as they host UNLV (Sept. 17) and Kansas (Sept. 19) in addition to Furman and UAB in non-conference play. The Tigers will also play host to SEC powers Florida (Sept. 26), Ole Miss (Oct. 10) and Tennessee (Oct. 22). In-state rival Alabama comes to town to round out the regular season on Oct. 29. In postseason play, the SEC Tournament will again be played in Orange Beach, Ala. Nov. 4-7 and the NCAA Tournament first and second rounds will begin Nov. 12-14 at locations yet to be determined.
