AUBURN - Auburn assistant head coach Matthew Mott has been promoted to Associate Head Coach as announced by head coach Karen Hoppa. Mott recently completed his fifth season at Auburn under Hoppa. "Coach Mott is invaluable to this program and its success," Hoppa said. "With three SEC West titles and his incredible recruiting ability, he has helped bring our program to a new level." Mott and Hoppa have been together since 1995 when Mott joined the head coach at Central Florida as an assistant. The duo moved to Auburn in 1999 and Mott was promoted to assistant head coach following the 2000 season. Since 1999, the Tigers have won three SEC Western Division titles, an SEC Championship and have had three trips to the NCAA Tournament, including two second round appearances. "I am grateful to Coach Hoppa for this opportunity," Mott said. "The past five years at Auburn have been a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to much future success."
