May 29, 2007

Daytona Beach, Fla. - Auburn senior golfer Nicole Hage was named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-America team Friday night at the NCAA Women's Golf Championship banquet.

The award is the fourth All-America for Hage, who was named honorable mention the past two seasons and to the second team as a freshman. Hage joined nine other student-athletes on the honorable mention list this season. Hage, a native of Coral Springs, Fla., was also named to the NGCA All-Region team for her fourth place performance at the East Regional.

Hage ended her career with a No. 25 ranking in the latest Golfweek poll, holding a 73.94 average throughout the season. During her four-year career, she earned four All-American honors, First Team All-SEC honors this season, Second Team All-SEC honors in 2005 and 2006, and SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2004. Hage finished in the top 10 in 21 of her 47 career tournaments.

The seventh-ranked Tigers wrapped up the season with a ninth place finish at the NCAA Championship May 22-25 at the LPGA International Legends Course in Daytona Beach. The Tigers were led by freshman Candace Schepperle, who turned in a 14th place finish in her first NCAA Championship.
