Auburn, Ala. - Two members of the No. 29-ranked Auburn men's tennis team will compete in the NCAA Individual Championships May 23-28 in Athens, Ga., the NCAA Championship Subcommittee announced Wednesday.

The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 23-28 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex, following the conclusion of the team championship (May 17-22). Individual draws will be announced during the team championship.

Senior's Robbert Lathouwers and Alex Schweizer will be making their first appearance in the singles championship. Schweizer competed in the doubles championship with former Tiger Gabor Zoltan Pelva in 2005. Lathouwers, a First Team All-SEC selection this season, put together a 17-4 record this spring, including 12 straight wins to open 2007.

Lathouwers and Schweizer, ranked 33rd in the latest FILA rankings, will serve as alternates at the doubles championship.

The Tigers return to action next week, when they travel to Athens, Ga., for the first and second round of the NCAA Tournament. Auburn will face Georgia State on May 11 at 1 p.m. ET.
