Tiger Men's Tennis Travels to Arkansas and LSU in Final Road Play for SEC Tournament
April 5, 2007 Auburn, Ala. - The No. 44 Auburn men's tennis will conclude regular season road play this weekend at Arkansas and No. 13 LSU. AU will take on the Razorbacks in Fayetteville on Friday at 1:30 p.m. CT. The team will then make their way south to Baton Rouge to battle it out against LSU on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT. After a 5-2 victory against South Carolina last weekend, the Tigers now stand 10-7 overall and 3-4 in SEC play. Sunday's match against Florida was delayed due to rain and will be continued on April 15 at 1 p.m. Auburn goes into Fayetteville with the desire to redeem themselves after last year's painful 6-1 loss on its home courts. Chances look good for the No.44 Tigers, who are tied 13-13 in the schools' series record. A victory against No. 13 LSU, however, is going to require that Auburn bring the best they have to offer. Although Auburn caused a serious upset last year with a 4-3 triumph, LSU holds a major advantage in the schools' series record with a 24-9 lead. Arkansas is coming off a 6-1 loss to Ole Miss, adding another defeat to the Razorback's 0-8 record in the SEC. LSU was also dropped by the Rebels, 4-3, but then conquered Mississippi State, 6-1, moving them to 5-3 in SEC play. LSU will be hosting a match against Alabama at home on Friday.
