PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - After scoring four goals, including her first career game-winning tally in a pair of victories, Charlotte's Sam Huecker has been named to Soccer Buzz Magazine's Elite Team of the Week.

The freshman midfieder, who earned Atlantic 10 Player and Rookie of the Week honors for her efforts, scored a pair of goals on Oct. 12 in the 49ers' 3-0 win versus George Washington and added both of the 49ers' goals in their 2-1 (OT) victory over Richmond on Oct. 14.

The Crestwood, Ky., native recorded nine shots in the two matches and ranks second on the team with 15 points. Teammate Lindsey Ozimek was honored by Soccer Buzz on Oct. 2 after amassing eight points in the 49ers' opening two matches in A-10 play.

Charlotte (10-3-1/5-0-1) resumes action on Oct. 19 when it visits Xavier at 7:00pm.
