Two Women's Tennis Players Earn Pac-10 All-Academic Honors

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State University women's tennis student-athletes Lauren Colalillo and Cindy Sureephong were both named to the Pac-10 All-Academic teams, announced by Commissioner Tom Hansen. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.00 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

Colalillo, a junior from Toronto, Canada, makes her first appearance on the team, claiming honorable mention honors with a 3.17 grade-point average in communications. Colalillo recorded a 16-13 overall singles record, including winning 10 of 12 matches at one point at the No. 4, 5 and 6 positions.

Sureephong, the team's lone senior from Haines City, Florida, also garnered honorable mention acclaim by posting a 3.13 grade-point average in digital art. Sureephong tallied 12 singles wins at the No. 3, 4, and 5 slots this past season and finished her four-year career with 55 total wins.
