Lady Blazers In 14th After Opening Round Of Waterlefe Invitational

BRADENTON, Fla. ----- The UAB women's golf team sits in 14th after two rounds of the Waterlefe Invitational. The Lady Blazers opened the tournament with a 614 (324-319).

The tournament is being held at the par-72, 5,987-yard course at the Waterlefe Golf Club.

The University of Miami is in first place after shooting a 291, while East Carolina, Mississippi and Louisville are tied for second place with a 306. Campbell rounds out the top five and site four-back at 310.

ECU's Adrienne Millican tops the medalist list after 36 holes, with rounds of 73-73--146, with UNCW's Audrey Gale two strokes back, at 75-73--148. Jennifer Keefe turned in solid 76-76--152 numbers to lead Southern Miss. She's tied for 13th after 36 holes.

The Lady Blazers are one of 15 teams participating in this year's tournament along with: Miami (Fla.), Mississippi, Louisville, Campbell, UCF, Kentucky, College of Charleston, UNC Wilmington, Southern Miss, USF, Mississippi State, Florida International, Georgia State, and ECU.
