Blazers' First Two 2007 Games Will Be Vs. Michigan State, Florida State

Jan. 19, 2007

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB will kick off the 2007 football season and the Neil Callaway era with a pair of difficult road games. The Blazers will begin the `07 slate with a Sept. 1 contest at Michigan State and will follow that with a game at Florida State a week later on Sept. 8.

While the dates of UAB's four non-conference games are set -- the Blazers also will play a home game at Legion Field on Sept. 15 vs Alcorn State and a contest Oct. 6 at Mississippi State -- the dates for Conference USA games have not yet been determined.

It is known which C-USA schools will travel to Birmingham in 2007 to play UAB and where the Blazers will play league road games. Houston and Tulane, both of which UAB has not played since the 2004 season, will play at Legion Field this fall, as will Southern Mississippi and UCF.

The Blazers will travel to East Carolina, Marshall, Memphis and Tulsa for a first-time game against the Golden Hurricane.
