Obie Trotter led the nation in steals a year ago, but he has never burglarized a team as much as he did Friday night in a 75-62 win over Jarvis Christian at T.M. Elmore Gym. Trotter tallied a career-high 10 steals in the win and hit three crucial jumpers to pull AAMU away in the final minutes. For the second straight game the Bulldogs struggled to put away a team, but after losing their season-opener to Stillman, AAMU was able to close out Jarvis Christian late in the game turning a four-point lead midway through the second half into a 13-point victory. Chris Collins led the Bulldogs with 13 points off the bench. Trotter added 12, and Joe Martin 11, along with a game-high nine rebounds. |
