2007: Earned the team's Most Improved Award...won the 10,000-meter run at the Mountain West Conference championships (30:50.98)...all-conference honoree...clocked a personal-best time of 14:11.23 in the 5000-meter run at the Oregon Invitational...that is the seventh-best time in Academy history...that time is also a new Sophomore Class record...NCAA Regional Qualifier...won the team's Track Athlete of the Week award following that meet...ran the third leg of the 4x1600-meter relay team that set the fifth-fastest time in Academy history (16:55.90)...posted the second-fastest time on the team in the 3000-meter run, finishing eighth at the MWC meet in 8:26.08 (adjusted for altitude)...also finished second on the team in the indoor 5000-meter run (14:46.51).
2006: Clocked the third-best 3000-meter steeplechase time on the team...ran a career-best 9:31.06 at the Stanford Invitational...also participated in the 1500-meter run...recorded a season-best 4:11.98 (adjusted for altitude) at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...competed in the mile and 3000-meter run during the indoor season...ran the mile in 4:18.65a at the Albuquerque Invitational to finish sixth...posted a season-best time of 8:48.47a at the Mountain West Conference Championships.
2005: Competed in the mile and 3000-meter run events during the indoor season...was one of four Falcons to finish within the top-six in the mile at the Albuquerque Invitational...participated in the 1500-meter run and 3000-meter steeplechase during the outdoor season...posted the third-best steeplechase time on the team at 9:31.06.
HIGH SCHOOL: Illinois state champion in the 3200-meter run...finished third at the Illinois A cross country championships...also placed third in the 1600-meter run...posted best times of 4:18 and 9:15.
PERSONAL: Son of Steve and Patty Houseworth...has one brother, Jon, who is a member of the track and field team at the University of Illinois...majoring in environmental engineering...hobbies include reading...named to the Superintendent's List for excellence in military, academic and athletic performances...served as Squadron Athletic Clerk...member of the Air Force cross country team...competed at the conference and regional meets during freshman and sophomore seasons.
