ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Adrian College volleyball team got their season started on the right foot at the Purple Raider Volleyball Invitational hosted by Mount Union College.

The Bulldogs were victorious in their first match of the 2007 season, defeating Gettysburg 3-1 (30-23, 26-30, 30-25, 30-26) on Friday. Lindsey Eshelman and Sara Morningstar led the offense with 12 and 10 kills respectively. Samantha Mercy added 26 digs in the win.

The Bulldogs now face John Carroll Friday night in their second of three pool play games.
