Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University freshman, Rachael Cornick (Endicott, N.Y.) has been honored this week by the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC). Cornick has been named NYCAC Rookie of the Week for her efforts in four games last week.

Although her team fell short, Cornick certainly did her part in a big NYCAC battle this week. The 5-7 freshman from Endicott, NY, totaled 19 kills with just two errors and 15 digs in the Panthers' tough five-set loss to C.W. Post. She also recorded 31 total kills and 27 digs in three non-conference matches.

Adelphi returns to action Tuesday, November 4th when they play host to Queens College at 7 pm.
