Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University volleyball team played host to East Coast Conference opponent Concordia College on Tuesday, October 23. The Panthers swept the match, 3-0, improving to 22-5 overall and 5-2 in the ECC, while the Clippers fall to 12-11 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

With game one knotted, 10-10, Adelphi scored nine of the next 15 points to move out to a 19-14 lead and secure a 30-21 win. The second game was all Adelphi as the Pantheres took a 14-7 lead and cruised to a 30-18 win. Concordia held a 24-21 edge late in the third game, before Adelphi's Brittany Addeo took serve and reeled off eight points, including three service aces to give Adelphi a 30-24 victory.

Kathleen Carney led the Adelphi attack with 10 kills, while Addeo posted 39 assists. Amy Williams, Kathleen Creegan and Jennifer McKenna collected 14, 11 and 10 digs respectively.

Adelphi returns to action on October 25 when they travel to Bridgeport, Connecticut to take on the University of Bridgeport.
