Old Westbury, N.Y. - The Adelphi University volleyball team dropped a 24-30, 17-30, 32-30 decision to host NYIT in conference action, Monday evening. The Lady Bears improve to 15-10 overall, 5-2 in the conference. The Panthers fall to 15-12, 3-4 in the conference.

Senior Mary Krines led Adelphi with 13 kills and senior Bernadette Mearini recorded 12 kills and 10 digs for her fifth double-double of the season. Senior Brianne MacArthur notched a team-high 37 assists.

NYIT sophomore Burcu Hakyemez had a season high 26 kills to lead the Lady Bears.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, hosting Merrimack at 10 a.m. and NJ Tech at 2 p.m.
