Women's Tennis Falls In Semis Of NYCAC Tourney

Philadelphia, PA - The Adelphi women's tennis team traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to take on Philadelphia University in the semi-finals of the NYCAC Tournament. Adelphi fell to the Lady Rams by a score of 5-0.

Claudia Nunez (Aventura, FL) and Leigh Fennessey (Saratoga, N.Y.) played well but dropped their first flight doubles match by a count of 8-4. Janine Canale (Queensbury, N.Y.) and Melissa Pashayan (Garden City, N.Y.) also dropped their doubles match by a score of 8-4, which is as close as the Panthers would get.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, October 16th when they participate in the NYCAC Individual Championships at Queens College.
