Garden City, N.Y. - After posting impressive wins against top-ranked Stonehill College and American International, the Panthers have jumped from No. 4 to No. 2 in this week's IWLCA Coaches Poll. In addition, junior Katherine Hock was named the Inside Lacrosse DII Player of the Week and freshman Diana Lopez was named womenslacrosse.com Rookie of the Week.

Hock had four goals and an assist as she led the Panthers to a win over defending national champion and north region rival Stonehill. She added a hat trick in the win over AIC.

Lopez, also named the Adelphi Female Athlete of the Week, earned rookie honors from womenslacrosse.com after recording a hat trick and an assist in the Panthers upset over the Chieftains. She then added a career best five goals and an assist in the win over AIC.

Adelphi (3-0) ranks fifth in the Inside Lacrosse DII Power Poll due to the fact that Longwood and UC-Davis, are included in the poll. These teams are in the process of moving from Division II to Division I and are therefore ineligible to win the Division II title. Subsequently they are not included in the IWLCA poll.
