Sept. 1, 2004 Garden City, N.Y. - Seton Hall's Mark Pedreiras ( The Panthers came out fast but Seton Hall struck first, scoring just over ten minutes into action. Mark Pedreiras ( Pedreiras struck again ten minutes later when he bent the ball around an Adelphi defender and snuck it in the lower right corner, giving the Pirates a 2-0 lead halfway through the first period of play. Pedreiras completed the hat trick just before halftime when John Raus ( Adelphi came out of halftime strong, getting a solid shot on goal just seconds after the whistle. Unfortunately the Panthers could not put the ball in the Pirate goal. The Adelphi defense played strong, blocking several Pirate shots, while Ruff kept the Panthers in the game, collecting 10 saves.
