TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Kelly Shipman struckout nine batters and Maryland hitters scorched Florida Atlantic for 10 runs as the Terps downed the Owls 10-1 to remain undefeated in the Tallahassee Democrat FSU Invitational, and advance to this evening's gold medal bracket.

The Terps battle host Florida State at 8 p.m. this evening. If they win, they advance to a semifinal game on Sunday at noon with a championship game to follow. If they lose tonight's game with the Seminoles, the Terrapins will play a consolation game on Sunday at noon.

In running its record to 3-0 in the tournament, Maryland got multiple hits from Amy Sandler, Jen Potzman and Kiesha Pickeral. Sandler had a pair of doubles. Shipman, who won consecutive games after scattering six hits in a shutout win over Iowa State on Friday evening, also had a double.
