RALEIGH, N.C. -
Facing the largest graduating class in the history of the women's soccer program at NC State, head coach Laura Kerrigan has signed 11 prospects to build on the success of last year's successful season.
"I am excited about the caliber of players coming in from both an athletic and technical standpoint," said Kerrigan. "We focused hard on finding players who possess both the skill and the desire to succeed at this level. Several of our incoming players have had national and regional exposure with their club and Olympic development program teams. We look forward to have them continue the tradition of the Wolfpack women's soccer program."
The Wolfpack will kick off the 2003 season next fall and will have waiting on the horizon the chance to play in the 2004 College Cup, which will be hosted by NC State at the SAS Soccer Park in Cary, NC.
