GREENSBORO, N.C. - After leading the Tar Heels past Appalachian State last Saturday, North Carolina senior Ryan Adams was selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Adams, a native of Rock Hill, S.C., pinned ASU's David Hazell in 3:47 to pick-up the victory and lead the Tar Heels to the 36-6 win. It was the 28th win for Adams ranking him among the nation's leaders in victories in the heavyweight class. He finished the regular season winning 12 of his last 13 bouts.

North Carolina will next compete at the ACC Wrestling Championship to be held on Saturday, March 6 at the University of Virginia.
