![]() Soccer America Honors Wake Forest Men's Soccer Recruiting Class
July 19, 2004 Winston-Salem, N.C. - In a recent ranking of the top college men's soccer recruting classes, Soccer America rated the 2004 Wake Forest class as the second best in the entire county. The publication also ranked the nation's top-25 recruits and the Demon Deacons were the only team in the country to have three players listed among the top-25. The rest of the top-10 were as follows North Carolina, SMU, South Florida, Stanford, Maryland, Duke, UC Santa Barbara and St. John's. Valentin (Defender/Lancaster, Pa.) and Phelan (Defender/Enfield, Conn.) as well as Rein (Goalkeeper/Modesto, Calif.) were each ranked among the nation's top-25 recruits. Valentine was rated second, while Phelan was listed 11th and Rein 18th.
CollegeSoccerNews.com earlier this month ranked the Demon Deacon recruiting class sixth.
