Virginia senior James Driscoll and junior Cameron Yancey were named to the Virginia Division I Golf Coaches Association All-State Team.Driscoll was named to the first team, while Yancey was named to the second team.
Driscoll was a first team All-ACC and Honorable Mention All-America and finished ninth at the NCAA National Championship in Opelika, Ala. He also placed second at the NCAA East Regional and seventh at the ACC Championships. He led Virginia with a 71.22 stroke average.
Also making the first team were Reg Millage from Virginia Commonwealth, Michael Hospodar from Old Dominion, Ken Macdonald from the University of Richmond and Yong Joo from Liberty.
Yancey finished the year with a 73.22 average. Joining Yancey on the second team was Eric Knudsen of VCU, Steve Sokol of Old Dominion, Scott Polen of James Madison and Phillip Bowers of Radford.
The Virginia State Co-Coaches of the Year were Paul Gooden of James Madison and Murray Rudisill of Old Dominion.
