CHARLOTTESVILLE-- - All six home games will be available when the University of Virginia athletic ticket office puts single-game football tickets for the 2000 season on sale to the public on Monday, July 24. Virginia's 2000 home football schedule includes games with Brigham Young (Sept. 2), Richmond (Sept. 9), Clemson (Sept. 23), Maryland (Oct. 7), North Carolina (Oct. 28) and North Carolina State (Nov. 18).

Tickets for four of Virginia's five away games will also be available starting July 24. Virginia's allotment of tickets for the game against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg is sold out. Virginia's other four road games are at Duke (Sept. 16), Wake Forest (Sept. 30), Florida State (Oct. 21) and Georgia Tech (Nov. 9).

Season tickets are also available and include all six of UVa's home games. As of Thursday (July 20), Virginia had sold a record 30,264 football season tickets for the 2000 season. The previous record for season ticket sales was last year's 29,013.

The Virginia athletic ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tickets can also be ordered by calling 800/542-8821 or 804/924-8821.
