Tallahassee, Fla. - Florida State head coach Bob Braman earned coaching honors for the second consecutive season after he was named the 2004 NCAA South Region Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year.

Braman lead the team through one of the best seasons in Florida State school history. The team finished 18th at nationals and won the first south regional championship in the program's history. Braman also coached Florida State's first Atlantic Coast Conference Champion in junior Andrew Lemoncello. He led the team to the closest finish in league history, taking second place to 13-time ACC Champion N.C. State by one point.

Braman was the 2003 recipient of ACC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year. He was awarded the honor after Florida State finished second at the conference championships - then the highest team placing since joining the ACC in 1992.
