ACC Coach Of The Year John Goodridge Resigns
Talented leader leaves men's cross country, track programs.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- John Goodridge has resigned from his position
as head coach for the Wake Forest men's cross country and track & field
programs. The resignation is effective immediately.
Goodridge, who had been the head coach of the Demon Deacon program
since 1984, was named the ACC Men's Track & Field Coach of the Year in 1995
and 1999 and earned ACC Cross Country Coach of the Year honors in 1989,
1990, 1993 and 1994.
He led the Demon Deacons to four ACC Cross Country
Championships during his tenure and guided the track & field team to an 8th
place national finish in 1996. In all, Goodridge coached 16 All-Americans
and two national champions at Wake Forest.
