Santa Barbara, Calif. - For the second time this season, Senior Josh Horton was named the Big West Conference's Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week. The Vienna, Virginia native ran a 24:34 8k at the Pre-Nationals Meet that included the top programs in the nation. His 8th place overall finish in the black race helped the Gauchos to a 4th place team finish ahead of multiple nationally ranked teams. Fellow Gaucho Katie Appenrodt was also awarded Athlete of the Week honors for Women's Cross Country following her Pre-Nationals performance.
