WACO, Texas (AP) - Reserve Steffanie Blackmon had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead Baylor to an 80-56 victory Friday night over Bucknell in the first round the NCAA tournament's East Regional.

Sheila Lambert contributed 17 points and Danielle Crockrom 14 as the Lady Bears (27-5) got their first victory ever in NCAA postseason play.

Molly Creamer's 18 points led Bucknell (21-10). Desire Almind added 14.

For the game, the Lady Bears shot 52 percent, hitting 32 of 62. The Bison connected on only 20 of 64 attempts for 31 percent. Baylor dominated Bucknell on the boards, pulling down 46 to the Bison's 25.

Leading 23-17 with just over 11 minutes left in the first half, the Lady Bears went on an 11-0 run in three minutes, thwarting any serious Bucknell challenge. Baylor outscored the Bison 13-10 the rest of the way and led at the half 47-27.

Lambert fueled Baylor's first-half offense with 13 points, going 5-for-10 from the field and hitting both of her free throws.

The Lady Bears shot 60 percent in the first half, connecting on 18 of 30 attempts. Bucknell made nine of 30 shots in the first 20 minutes.
