EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Amber Obaze scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Louisiana Tech to a 73-59 victory over Texas-El Paso Thursday night.

Louisiana Tech (15-3, 10-0) outrebounded the Miners 56-24 and scored 21 points on free throws compared to Texas-El Paso's six.

Catrina Frierson had 16 points and 15 rebounds for Tech.

Kimya Murray was the high scorer for Texas-El Paso (3-14, 1-8) with 18 points. Romie DeAnda and Dragana Zoric each added 13 for the Miners.

Louisiana Tech had the lead through most of the game, but the Miners kept it close scoring on 11 of 31 three-point shots, which tied a team record. The Lady Techsters took their largest lead, 12 points, with 2:22 left in the game.
