New Orleans Upsets No. 20 Tulane, 76-69

Victory puts an end to the Privateers 10-game losing streak.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Yolanda White shot 17-of-21 from the free-throw line and scored 21 points to lead New Orleans to a 76-69 upset of No. 20 Tulane on Monday night.

Jasmine Smiri added 19 points, and reserve Lora Ruddy scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds for New Orleans (4-11).

Teanna McKiver scored 22 points for Tulane (13-3), and reserve Jessica Carroll added 16.

Trailing 27-23 at halftime, New Orleans outshot Tulane 23-10 from the foul line in the second half to snap its 10-game losing streak.

New Orleans also turned Tulane's 26 fouls into a 31-17 foul-shooting advantage overall.
