FT. WORTH, Texas - The Official College Sports Network, the Web's largest network of official college athletic sites with 125 official partnerships, and TCU Athletics today announced the launch of an Internet feature that will allow Frogs football tickets to be purchased online. FANSeats will offer a secure online transaction form on TCU's Official Athletic Site, www.GoFrogs.com in which fans may purchase single-game or season tickets for the 2002 football season.
"Moving business functions online helps Athletic Departments better serve the needs of their fans, while also easing the staffing needs that many universities face," said Russell Wright, Director of University Relations for OCSN. "TCU's ability to sell tickets directly from their Official Athletic Site will increase their ticketing distribution channels and allows their fan base to have 24/7 access to purchase tickets."
OCSN is entering its third season of offering a secure online transaction solution to Athletic Departments to sell athletic tickets online. During the 2001-2002 athletic season, in addition to TCU, 24 schools participated in the FANSeats program generating nearly $1 million in online ticketing transactions.
