COLUMBIA, Mo.- University of Missouri junior center A.J. Ricker has been tabbed a preseason third team All-American by Street & Smith's College Football Magazine. The 6-4, 295 pound Klein, Texas native is garnering a lot of preseason attention across the nation.
Ricker is also a preseason first team All-Big 12 selection by Football News, as is senior linebacker Sean Doyle. Ricker has been mentioned as a second team All-Big 12 pick by several other publications. He will more than likely be named as a Rimington Award candidate for the second straight season. The award is given to the best offensive center in the country.
Ricker has started 22 consecutive games for the Tigers and was tabbed a third team All-Big 12 selection by the Big 12 Coaches in 2001.
