The University of Tennessee's Davidson County Alumni Chapter will host its 36th Annual All-Sports Picnic Thursday, Aug. 1 at David Lipscomb University in Nashville.
Special guests from the University of Tennessee staff include President Dr. John Shumaker, Women's Athletic Director Joan Cronan, Athletic Director Doug Dickey, along with UT head coaches Phillip Fulmer, Buzz Peterson, Pat Summitt. The Voice of the Vols, Bob Kesling will emcee the event.
Each year the picnic spotlights the outstanding athletic programs and coaches of the University of Tennessee. All proceeds from the event support an Alumni Scholarship for a Davidson County student.
The dinner is slated to begin at 6 p.m. (CDT) with the program to follow at 7 p.m. Advance registration ($15) for the event runs through July 21. Tickets at the door will be $20. Children under 5 will be admitted free.
A silent auction will be held in conjunction with the event with items such as: two guest coach spots at Lady Vols' Basketball game, two box seats for a Vols basketball game, two passes to "A Day with the Vols," and a framed print, "Battle in the Swamp", signed by Fulmer and more.
