Wade's World
Nov. 23, 1999
Ole Miss offensive lineman Todd Wade gives you an in depth perspective of the view from the trenches all season long in Wade's World.
On last week's game:
"It was very disappointing. I think we were just as good as they were,
but
unfortunately we didn't play like that in certain areas. From an
offensive
line standpoint, I thought we had one of our better games. It's too bad
we
had only 47 offensive plays to execute on. We now have to get ready for
Mississippi State. They have the No. 1-ranked defense in the country and
it'll be a challenge."
On preparing for a short week:
"We started practice on Sunday and went through their base defenses. You
don't have too much time so you have to devote some time personally to get
ready for the game."
Is it easier overcoming a tough loss with a short week?:
"It's a lot easier getting over a tough loss with a short week. You have
no choice but to get back in to it, and you have something else to worry
about. Whereas in a regular week, you may have a little longer time to
think about a loss. We're not thinking about the Georgia game anymore,
it's in the past and we've put it behind us. We're now looking forward to
Mississippi State and we look for it to be an exciting game."
On the Mississippi State game:
"It (the Egg Bowl) has always been a lot of fun. I've loved watching it
growing up. We'll bring a lot a fans down to Starkville and have a lot of
support. I'm looking forward to the game and I think we'll play our best
game yet."
