The Stoops Scoop
Nov. 3, 1999 "After further review of last week's tape, it was as poor a performance as we thought after the game - players and coaches alike. We're all in it together and knew we didn't perform as well as we should have. I don't want to take anything away from Colorado. They came out and played well, made plays, had good schemes and really played aggressively on both sides of the ball. They outperformed us and give them credit. I take personal responsibility as a coach for not getting our team ready enough to play and not being able to play consistently. Our assistant coaches take it personally, and I believe and hope that our players do. We're all in it together. It's frustrating as a coach because we have the ability to play to our potential and we have a solid team and the potential to be a good team. It's frustrating not being able to do it week in and week out from series to series. We're still pushing and fighting to establish consistency, and I believe our players realize that and we'll need to next week. Missouri's a tough team. They showed that again last week with a solid win over Texas Tech. Defensively, they shut them out. Offensively, they put over 30 points on the board."
